Adults nationwide are concerned about the use of e-cigarettes by children and teens, with 44 percent indicating worries that the devices will encourage kids to use tobacco products, according to a new poll from the University of Michigan.

New research found that a medication used to treat heart failure called Digoxin may also work to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS attack and kills the nerve cells that control muscles, which can cause loss of mobility in the arms, legs, and face. In this study, researchers blocked the enzyme or reduced cells’ ability to reproduce the enzyme with digoxin , which stopped the disease’s destruction of nerve cells.
