The Portland Rose Festival takes place every year in early June. The main event of the festival is the Grand Floral Parade, the 2nd largest parade of its kind in the USA. Other Rose Festival events include Fleet Week (where ships from the United States Navy, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the Royal Canadian Navy, dock along Waterfront Park), a CHAMP Car race (held at Portland International Raceway), dragonboat races, a fireworks display, a waterfront carnival & more!
