AQUAMARINE PARURE OF PRINCESS PALEY- consists of tiara, necklace and this corsage decoration made by Cartie in 1912 for Olga Karnovich - Princess Paley, wife of Grand Duke Pavel, whom was shot by The Bolsheviks in 1920s. The corsage decoration could be disassembled, for example, oval aquamarines could be separately used as brooches. In 1929 Olga before her death gave the parure to her daughters Irina and famous Vogue model Natalia Paley. Olga's descendants still live in Paris.
