Afternoon ensemble, Callot Soeurs (attr.), 1923. Pleated silk, leno weave with red & gold metallic brocade, and black velvet trim. Toffee-colored afternoon dress, tightly pleated at neckline, features billowing sleeves and deep hem of red & gold brocade. Chiffon overdress floats away from the figure, with cuffs and center front closure bound with same brocade as hem. Rhode Island School of Design Museum
