I am, Sir, your most obedient humble servant, John Poynder, Clerk. With the arms of Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals. Dated 7th May 1807.

A lady's bonnet and gloves and a cocked hat and sword, carelessly laid down, show the object of her curiosity. She wears a graceful white gown and a lace cap over her curled hair.
