"Bloody Empire" ~ Timorous Beasties. This is a very contemporary piece of wallpaper. There is a variety of colours in this piece and there is some rivalry between the colours. The red and blue are shrouded by the bold yellow of the bumblebee. There is an organic feel to this wallpaper as the plants surround the insect creating a modern and natural idea to the wallpaper.
For the Love of God (2007) Created by Damien Hirst. In 2007, art historian Rudi Fuchs, observed: ‘The skull is out of this world, celestial almost. It proclaims victory over decay. At the same time it represents death as something infinitely more relentless. Compared to the tearful sadness of a vanitas scene, the diamond skull is glory itself. I'm going to use this as my template for my 'amused to death' skull.
