♍ Frank Robinson was born on August 31, 1935, in Beaumont, Texas. After high school, he signed with the National League’s Cincinnati Reds. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1956 and Most Valuable Player in 1961. During his career he played with the Orioles, Angels, Dodgers and Indians. In 1975, he became the first Major League African-American manager. He joined the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.

Anthony Malbrough Head Freshman CoachAnthony Malbrough is a native of Beaumont, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Communication Studies. He has been coaching for two years and this is his first year at Pearland High School. Malbrough is married to wife, Lavenda, who is a realtor. They have two children, Caleb, age 10, and Cailyn, age 6. He played in the NFL and the Canadian Football League.
Kasib Powell (born March 18, 1981) is an American professional basketball player. Powell was born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he played basketball at Teaneck High School. He played collegiately at Butler Community College and Texas Tech University.
