Since people can't afford to eat, they are hungry; Since people are hungry, they would struggle with poor health, low levels of energy, and mental impairment, so their ability to work and learn is compromised, thereby causing them to struggle with earning money, leading to poverty. In 2008, an estimated 1,345 million poor people in developing countries lived on 1.25 dollars a day or less, while an estimate of 1.02 billion were undernourished.
