Cemetery officials work continually to make Crown Hill a reverent and meaningful place. In 2000 an Indiana AIDS Memorial was dedicated to Hoosier AIDS victims who died between 1982 and 1999. The Heroes of Public Safety Monument to men and women who serve in public safety jobs was dedicated in 2002. The Field of Valor established in 2004 doubled the space for veterans. In 2006, 699 orphaned and abandoned children buried in unmarked graves were remembered in a special monument.
