This week’s winner comes to us from @Wynn Adulyanukosol Las Vegas for a really nice picture of the Wynn & Encore towers set against a dark blue sky at sunrise. It’s interesting that the man who reinvented Vegas with the Mirage could arguably be blamed for ruining it with Bellagio, followed by Wynn & Encore. Not intentionally but he has always been so far ahead of the curve that he is usually...

4/14/13 - This week’s winner comes to us from @mPortray for an awesome panorama picture taken from Planet Hollywood’s pool deck. This is a perfect example of why I enjoy properties will pools in front of the property. The deck you can see the Paris balloon, @Bellagio, @The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, part of city center and even a bit of Planet Hollywood’s marquee. There’s just something so appealing about relaxing poolside in Vegas while the strip looms in front of you. The use of...

7/17/11 - This week's winner came to us from @George_Addams. Its an amazing picture of the Fantasy Tower @Palms Casino Resort set in a stunningly beautiful blue sky sparsely populated with white clouds behind it. Awesome.

10/27/13 - This week’s winner is from @itsthejohnes for a really cool picture of the Golden Gate signage. Its unique, iconic signage. No other marquee in Vegas has moving letter tiles. The angle of the photo is nice too, looking from the ground up but taken under the Fremont Street Experience so you don’t see the sign with that as the backdrop. Instead, you get a nice blue sky with white clouds. One of the major things I don’t like about the Fremont Street Experience is it prevents....

3/11/12 - This week’s winner goes to @ 24k for his picture of @The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas at sunset. This is one of the best pictures I’ve seen of the actual @The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas building. Both towers and the casino exterior are captured in the shot all lit up. Since the picture was taken as the sun was going down, you still get to see the silhouette of the back tower which, like the Luxor, can virtually disappear at night. I love this picture, I love the @The Cosmopolitan of…

12/11/11 - This week’s “Twitpic of the Week” winner goes to our first back-to-back winner @mhbroadhurst for this bad ass picture of the south strip. This picture was taken during the same helicopter ride as the one he was on when he captured last week’s Twitpic of the week. This week’s winner is an amazing panoramic photo capturing Mandalay Bay and Luxor in one shot. It’s one of those views that makes me wonder what it’s like to...

10/6/13 - This week’s winner comes to us from @WilhelminaHarkr for a serendipitous photo the heavens directing us to the fortuitous opportunities awaiting us at Wynn. Either that or Wynn is testing out a new free attraction in front of one of his properties. This picture was taken from the room @WilhelminaHarkr was staying at the Mirage. It shows Palazzo and Wynn towers set against a dark grey sky with a single, almost colorless rainbow, arcing across the sky landing on the front of...

5/5/13 - This week’s winner comes to us from Vegas365 for a great photo of @Excalibur Hotel & Casino, @Luxor Las Vegas and @Mandalay Bay, at night, from a unique, off strip angle. It’s tough to determine exactly were the picture was taken however, with MGM’s Park in the works, this is what I imagine the view from the sports arena would look like. @Luxor Las Vegas is the center piece of this photo with @Excalibur Hotel & Casino and @Mandalay Bay playing the anchors. I don’t know if this…

9/2/12 - This week’s winner is @timthelimoguy for his picture of the strip, old school. Judging from the angle of the photo and the state of the strip, it looks like the picture was taken in the late 1970s. You can clearly see that the Flamingo's West tower is under construction and that didn’t begin until 1975. You can also see that the southwest tower of Imperial Palace has been built but the Flamingo Capri sign is still in use, which would mean...

9/11/11 - This week's winning picture goes to @crashrick for his picture of Caesars Palace. The photo appears to have been taken at dusk which provided just the right amount of background light to help the foreground exterior lighting really pop instead of glow into a blur. Anyone who has tried to take pics at night in Vegas knows what I’m talking about. It’s a great picture showcasing the fountains as well as the various Caesars towers.
