Car park charges have stayed the same since 2007 while VAT has risen. We will be doing a complete review of car parking charges but in the meantime we plan to increase car park charges and fines. This is likely to be a average 10% increase, making £ 100,000.
Charging for green waste to be collected from homes - it will be roughly £ 40 per year. Resdents who don't want to pay this fee can compost or bring green waste to one of the county's recycling sites. Food waste will still be collected from households for free.
