Greer Spring, Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. There is a mile long trail that heads down to the spring. Greer Spring is the second largest spring in the Ozarks, and in Missouri. 222 million gallons of water bubble up from the spring, and then flow into the nearby Eleven Point National Scenic River.
Rocky Falls in southern Missouri. The famous waterfall is located in the Mark Twain National Forest near Eminence. The rocks of the falls were formed about 1.5 billion years ago from volcanic lava. The waters of the clear, spring-fed Rocky Creek cascade 40-plus feet down the hillside.Photo by Kyle Spradley | www.kspradleyphoto.com
