A tidy late 19th century gilded bronze inkwell. A tidy small circular gilt bronze inkwell. The lower part with two buckets for ink, a sandbox and three pen holes is finely ciseled with braces, a string of pearls and water leaves. The lid decorated with streaks is surmounted by a cup forming a tidy adorned with a frieze of water leaves. c.1880
A Fabergé gold-mounted nephrite inkwell, workmaster Henrik Wigström, St Petersburg, 1903-1904, in neoclassical taste, the sides of the circular well and square plinth applied with chased two-colour gold ribbon-tied laurel sprays within reeded gold borders, the stepped base with beaded borders, the domed and hinged lid with fir cone finial above bound laurel rim mount.
