Before the legendary Push Pin Studios, there was the Push Pin Almanack—a small publication produced by Ed Sorel, Seymour Chwast, Reynold Ruffins & Milton Glaser. Even as sophomore art students at Cooper Union this group of classmates was already thinking about autonomy and had set up a studio called Design Plus in a loft near the school. After graduating in 1951 they moved to a different loft and got day jobs.
