A fine early 19th Century longcase clock with oak case, inlaid with mahogany and satinwood, signed W Massey, Nantwich. William Massey of Nantwich, was a well known maker in the area. Born in Eccleshall, Staffordshire in 1783, the son of Lawrence Massey, also a Nantwich clock maker. Worked in the High Street from 1802 to 1850.
