Ramsey Lewis is a talented American jazz composer, pianist and radio personality. He has recorded over 80 albums and received seven Gold Records and three Grammy Awards for his incredible work. Saw his trio at the London House in Chicago before it closed.

Bill Evans was considered one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. His use of impressionist harmony and trademark rhythmically independent "singing" melodic lines continue to influence jazz today. He was honored with 31 Grammy nominations, receiving seven awards and inducted into the DownBeat Jazz Hall of Fame.

Richard Arnold Holmes was an American jazz organist whose nickname, "Groove," said it all. Soul jazz and hard bop were his gravy and he could play like nobody else. He is best known for his '65 recording of "Misty," written by Errol Garner, another jazz great, and the recording is considered a precursor to "acid jazz." It is a genre that is known as club jazz and combines the elements of jazz, funk, soul, disco and hip hop.

Wes Montgomery was a self-taught musician who learned by ear. He is known for developing an unusual guitar technique by playing in octaves, while soloing. In 1965, Wes began to crossover into pop/jazz style where he prospered and gained recognition outside of jazz circles. In 1966, he won a Grammy Award for "Best Instrumental Jazz Performance." At the height of his popularity, he died of a heart attack leaving an unprecedented legacy as one of the great jazz innovators and improvisors.
