The Peacock Room Castle Sammezzano, Tuscany Italy. I love anything colourful which is why this particular building caught my eye. I like the juxtapositioning of the bright rainbow like colours next to the more earthy browns. The shapes created looks almost like an illusion and to me gives it a make-believe feel, it also reminds me of peacocks tails the way they are positioned.
The Peacock Room Castello di Sammezzano in Reggello, Tuscany, Italy. Originally built in 1605, it was re-designed in the late 1800’s. Peacock room, Castello di Sammezzano, Italy. This technicolor Moorish style castle was built in 1605 for Ximenes d'Aragona. It was abandoned until April 2012 untl the FPXA committee was formed, aiming to promote and enhance the castle.
