THE FAR-FLUNG ADVENTURES: CORBY FLOOD, by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell. This trilogy can be read in any order, and the books all have connecting characters and places as well as clues sprinkled throughout. So much fun and brilliantly illustrated. At around 200 pages, these are PERFECT for kids ready to move beyond MAGIC TREE HOUSE and JUNIE B JONES. Please read my review!
Barnaby Grimes series- Paul Stewart and Chris Riddel. This is (yet another book by them haha) a series set in sortof victorian times..and about a guy who delivers messages around the city. The books are all pretty short, and each one is about something like zombies, werewolves, etc...they're also aimed at slightly younger readers. Goood though. 5/10
