MALTS BY DAY, PEANUTS BY NIGHT!  The man, the myth, the legend......The great Irving Newer-{toothless Irving}--September, 1979. Irv died in January, 1984.  Irving, legally blind...only sold Frosty Malts at Wrigley Field which only played day games back then.  But since that item didn't exist at old Comiskey Park......he schlepped peanuts.......to a crowd that mainly played night games.  Did you notice that Irv's 40 cent price button is not pinned on correctly? Sadly, he wouldn't have.
