Growing up, Ruth was always my favorite Biblical character. There are only two books of the Bible named after women and only a handful of women listed in the genealogy of Jesus and Ruth falls into both of those. If you’re not familiar with Ruth, Ruth was a Moabite woman who married Naomi’s son after Naomi and her family moved from Israel to Moab. After Ruth’s husband died (and her sister-in-law’s husband died), Naomi left to move back to Israel.[Read more]
