Finally! A mosquito repellent that smells good! And it's an all-natural, easy recipe you can make at home: Combine in a 16 oz bottle: 15 drops lavender oil (available online or at Whole Foods) 3-4 Tbsp of PURE vanilla extract 1/4 Cup lemon juice. Fill bottle with water. Shake.
I mix a good squeeze of Dawn concentrated dish soap and 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of salt in a spary bottle and then fill it to the top with vinegar. Works great on vines and weeds. Some may need a second application. Don't get it on other plants! Don't use salt where you want to plant again soon. You can try omitting the salt.
CLEAN YOUR MATTRESS: Pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a Mason jar & drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on lid & shake jar. Using a kitchen strainer, sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress & let it sit for an hour or more. Thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites, & other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture & deep dirtiness. It deodorizes & leaves the mattress smelling fresh & clean.
Cleaning fruit - Fill sink with water, add 1 Cup of Vinegar and Stir. Add all fruit, and Soak for 10 minutes. Water will be dirty, and fruit will sparkle with no wax, or dirty film. Great for Berries too, as it keeps them from molding. Do this with strawberries, and they last for weeks!
