Do you remember the locks on the doors of the public toilets in the 1950s. Sometimes the pennies filled up and you could not get the door open. Oh my how victorian.

As the 1960s started, every primary school playground in Britain seemed to be full of children playing the traditional game Fivestones (or Jacks) - a simple but absorbing passtime involving flipping between 1 and 5 polished metal 'stones' in the air from the back of your hand, in sequence, and catching them again whilst picking up the remaining stones (and grazing your knuckles as you did so).
