Rosehips- a wonderful time of year for picking rosehips but follow a couple fo rules...Never take more than one third of a plant's offerings as the birds need the hips for their winter larder and always make an effort to grow some seedlings and plant out in spring in different hedgerows to encourage these beautiful plants. I made rose hp syrup this year with a few vanilla seeds added.
