Prussia (and dependent states) Erinnerungskreuz 1866 'Der Main-Armee'. This cross, made of the bronze of captured Austrian cannon, was founded 20 September 1866 by King Wilhelm I of Prussia. The 'Main-Armee' version was given to troops who were part of the Army of the Main in southern/central Germany. Including all 3 types of combatant crosses, 144,000 official pieces were awarded by 4 March 1867. The die was cut by Kullrich and Weigand.
