Rose shaped pewter badge. In 1500 Henry VII provided funds to the hospital of the Savoy on the Strand to establish free accommodation to homeless men. The wardens at the hospital were issued with a Tudor rose badge to remind the homeless and the general public of his generosity.    Date 1500 AD - 1550 AD
