Lobed Japanese Satsuma Koro by Kinkozan

A fine Satsuma koro and cover, by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, of compressed globular form, with three shaped bracket feet, painted with three reserves of children playing, birds amid maple branches and a boat in a river landscape, on a millefleur ground, the domed cover pierced with two flower shaped openings and surmounted by a Kiku shaped finial, signed to a gold seal (Yabu Meizan), 8.4cm.
