Paper Plate Addition Game

Make a simple DIY paper plate addition game to help your child practice their addition and even subtraction skills

This is a sheet that contains persuasive sentence starters. Cut the sentence starters our and give to children to use while writing their persuasive sentence, or paragraph, depending on the grade level. You could use these to show how persuasive writing differs from other types of writing, and the clues that we look for in writing to tell the type of text it is.

Here’s an easy way for students to practice their spelling words. Have them draw a big scribble on their page – remind them to leave big spaces in their scribble! Using coloured pencils, they can then fill the spaces with their words.
