Pied Tamarin (Saguinus bicolor) is an Endangered primate endemic to Brazil where it has a very restricted range.  Previously assessed in 2003 as Critically Assesment, this species is probably not hunted for food, but it may be used as pets. The population is threatened by habitat loss, through urban growth, agriculture and cattle ranching in the vicinity of the capital of the state of Amazonas, Manaus.

Pied Tamarin (Saguinus bicolor) is an Endangered primate endemic to Brazil where it has a very restricted range. Previously assessed in 2003 as Critically Assesment, this species is probably not hunted for food, but it may be used as pets. The population is threatened by habitat loss, through urban growth, agriculture and cattle ranching in the vicinity of the capital of the state of Amazonas, Manaus.
