The F-35 was supposed to wow aviation spectators and weapons buyers at air shows in the UK two years ago, but an engine fire grounded the program. Now two years later, the F-35 is slated to attempt another inaugural showing in the UK this summer.

High over Germany a pair of German McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantoms fly off the left wing of a USAF Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker after receiving fuel. The F-4Fs were from of Jagdgeschwader 74 (JG 74) (74th Fighter Wing) based Neuburg, Bavaria (Germany), and the KC-135R was from the 100th Aerial Refueling Wing, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, UK.
