MADE: sooooo yummy!.............From the streets of El Salvador and Honduras, these are masa cakes with a filling that is fried. The usual fillings are meat or cheese but there is no reason why beans etc could not be used.
This is my great-grandmothers recipe, so its like a million years old. These are the original and authentic Southern Mexico style chilaquiles. This version is very popular as a Sunday breakfast. Believed to cure bad hang-overs.
