Big Jeffy is a member of Little Jerry and the Monotones on Sesame Street, supplying bass back-up for the group. He is considered to be the fourth member of the band, as mentioned in "Four".  Big Jeffy also appeared as a member of Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats, in place of the Lavender Alphabeat, in the songs "I Go to School", "Startin' Kindergarten", and "Gonna Rock You to Sleep". He and Little Chrissy have also sung with Elmo on a few occasions.

The Shenandoah Muppets appeared in episode 408 of The Muppet Show. Accompanying guest star Arlo Guthrie, these Whatnots were likenesses of Guthrie's band Shenandoah, with whom he toured and recorded from 1975 until the early 1990s.  The band members are David Grover (guitar), Carol Ide (tambourine), Steve Ide (guitar), Dan Velika (bass) and Terry a la Berry (drums).  Only Terry a la Berry's Muppet made a speaking appearance backstage, as performed by Jerry Nelson.
