I loved visiting Portmeirion in Wales because it's made from a collection of odd bits and architectural fragments, rescued from places all over Europe. It was the brainchild of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis who built it during the period from 1925 to 1975. His daughter Susan is the designer of Portmeirion china.

Manatees are so sweet. I got to feed some in Cozumel last winter and they literally just bump into you until you feed them again! They're big and clumsy and I love them to bits!!
