Mince pies are a much-loved tradition during the festive season. Paddington Bear has created his own orange mince pie recipe to indulge in something special this Christmas. Perfect for your next Christmas party.
Ingredients
For the pastry:
• 250g plain flour
• 180g cold unsalted butter, cubed
• 60g icing sugar
• Zest of 1 orange
• 1-2 tbsp orange juice
For the filling:
• 600g mincemeat filling
• Zest of 1 orange
Equipment:
• 8cm round cutter
• 7cm round cutter
• Small teddy cutter
• Mince pie/muffin tray
Method:
• 1. Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan
• 2. Mix the mincemeat and orange zest in a bowl, then leave to one side while you prepare the pastry
