Ötzi’s loincloth, a rectangular piece of 33 cm-wide goatskin leather. It was fashioned from long narrow strips cross-stitched together with twisted animal sinews. The remains of the loincloth show that it was originally around one metre in length. It was pulled between the legs and fastened at the waist with a belt.
