Vincent van Gogh - View of Arles: Orchard in Bloom with Poplars (1890). The Post Impressionists were a few independent artists at the end of the 19th century who rebelled against the limitations of Impressionism. This piece isn't one of my favourite pieces, however I think it is still very effective as it gets you thinking of what the artist wanted to say. It may symbolize the fact that he wanted to be isolated/alone from all humanity that may live in the distance.

Paul Gauguin (1848 - 1903) A self indulgent middle class white man who took full advantage of Tahiti's beauty, innocence and hospitality, spreading syphilis to not just women but girls as young as 13. But nice pictures.
