Lupe Velez....She retired to bed after taking an overdose of sleeping pills, specifically she swallowed 80 Seconal pills. According to newspaper accounts, her body was found by her secretary and companion of ten years, Beulah Kinder, on her bed surrounded by flowers, as she had wished. This isn't what really happened....she started throwing up & went into the bathroom where she passed out & hit her head on the toilet.

SYLVIA SIDNEY was appearing in the stage production of "Crime" when she made her first appearance on the silver screen in 1927. The film in question was "Broadway Nights." She returned to plays again but nothing noteworthy. By 1929, Sylvia was on the big screen with "The Different Eyes" as Valerie Briand. There was another film, "Five Minutes From The Station" the following year.
