The General Store re-opens every summer and sells a variety of goods to visiting tourists.

Outside Of Shaniko, Eastern Oregon.  As a family we visited the little 'ghost town' of Shaniko.  I was just talking to my brother a couple days ago, reminiscing about those visits and how much fun we had getting caught up in the history of the town.  I vividly remember a train caboose and an old wooden Indian Chief that stood right outside the general store.  I always hear Hank Williams Jr. singing Elijah when Shaniko memories come to mind.......
