In lieu of traditional vanilla wedding cake, our bourbon pecan chocolate pie was a major hit.

Our pies were made by a local baker. We had a cherry pie, bourbon chocolate pecan, and an apple pie. The stands were borrowed from loved ones.

This cake was a gift from a friend (and it was delicious). It was made with Barry Callebaut chocolate (superior stuff). The cake topper was used at my parent's wedding (exactly 39 years earlier for another Indiana wedding).

We decorated the tables with spider mums in Ikea vases. We loved the wooden letters glued to to sticks (with our initials, of course). We also used hops to decorate the table. Perfect for a beer-loving groom.

For the favors, we took Pepperidge Farm cookies and put them in a clear bags. We used a striped ribbon and some custom made stickers from Zazzle the said "Eat Drink Marry". The wooden box has a bottle of Burgundy and a sealed love letter from each to the other (& from guests). We will enjoy it on our 10th anniversary.

We drew chalkboard silhouettes on the chalkboards behind the bar. One of a girl with a ponytail, the other with a guy with slightly longer hair. We also used the orange carnation pomanders with striped straps as decoration after the ceremony.
