Aboriginal art - Elizabeth (Nellie) Marks Nakamarra ~ Travelling Women

Aus. Aboriginal art. I met a woman from Australia who had brought some of these artworks with her, she knew one of the artists really well and showed me some of the pieces she owned... really impressive in person! Each of the dots is a small bump of paint, and the ones I saw were 1/4 inch or larger. The pieces are huge!

Dreamtime Ladies by Kathleen Wallace: The painting narrates the story of six Aboriginal ladies and their travels through the Dreamtime, dancing along the way. They made many stops throughout their journey and at each place they danced under the starlight, until finally arriving at their destination Eagle Big, where their statues are found still to this day.
