It follows my healthy-lunch formula of including a veggie, a fruit, a protein source and healthy fat. The cold weather is upon us, which may mean a lot more time indoors snuggled up on the couch. To keep a fit focus on the increased indoor time, here's an easy and healthy snack idea for TV and movie watching. Air-popped popcorn with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.  Directions: Pop the desired amount of popcorn and dump it in the paper bag. Drizzle on some olive oil and sea salt, shake it up and enjoy!

Quinoa recipe:  ~Cooked quinoa. ~A yellow onion. ~Your favorite savory spices. (I used curry, cumin, black pepper and sea salt.) ~Healthy cooking oil. (I prefer coconut oil.) ~OPTIONAL: Avocado as a garnish.   DIRECTIONS: Heat the oil in a skillet. Dice the yellow onion and toss it in. Sprinkle in your chosen seasonings. Sauté the onion until it’s is browned and tender. Add the desired amount of cooked quinoa to the skillet , stir the mixture around and then it’s ready to serve
