Launched just ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, November 25th, the campaign is via French women's rights organization Ni Putes Ni Soumises (Neither Whores Nor Submissives). This is a much more powerful way to show the violence, instead of the usual battered woman photo. It's a more emotional execution, too.
An incredible photo: Stalin fools around in front of the camera of his bodyguard, Lt.Gen. Nikolai Vlasik. Some of Vlasik's photos of Stalin relaxed were spirited out of the USSR in the 1960s to be sold to magazines and newspapers in the West.
