17 Jan 2014: Gauteng police said that residents of Princess informal settlement is Roodepoort on the West Rand continued their protest action today. The demonstrations began on Tuesday this week with protesters demanding better service delivery and houses. According to Warrant Officer, Nonhlanhla Khumalo, police were monitoring the situation and no arrests have been made. As protesters threw stones at passing cars, metro was forced to close off 2 roads in the area.
