The tree is clinging on for dear life and the title gives the idea that it's been there for many years battling with the elements. With this very tall format I have the scope to suggest all the layers below the tree. It could be interpreted as the geology of the earth though it is, of course, a series of patterns and colours.The original for this is a monotype, a unique printed painting.
