Snorkeling in costa rica: To the north, check out Playa del Ocotal, Playa Flamingo or Playa Coco. To the south, Isla del Cano and Drake Bay are not to be missed. Perhaps the best snorkeling and diving in the country can be found at Isla del Coco, and island of the Pacific Coast with world-class diving. The island is a national park and one must get a permit to visit and dive there (admission $15).
Visiting Costa Rica and want to see sea turtles? Cano Island is one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Costa Rica. You'll see sea turtles, stingrays, puffer fish, and more. Find out what this trip is like!
The Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica had so much to offer (between touring a chocolate farm, horseback riding, snorkeling and meeting some wild and majestic dolphins as well as my favourite wildlife refuge)... there was so much more I have left to see that we didn't have time for. I would totally recommend the one hour flight it took to get from San Juan to Puerto Jiminez.
