Welcome back to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink January Release! I know many of you were dying to see the full feature of these adorable fluffy birds set from Betsy called Brushed Birds, and the beautiful dogwood flowers set from Lizzie called Warm Regards. I’m sharing a pair of cards featuring these new products with you today! Let’s start with the fluffy birds! How cute are they? I started by die cutting many, many birds and started stamping each of the layered images (3 layers total). I think I stamped more than 20 of them for fun and just trying out different combination of colors on the birds. But for today’s card, I settled on picking the ones that I stamped with Sweet Blush, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, and Honey Nut. You can see that I used Honey Nut to add some shading details on the edges of the bird (more on the bottom) by sponging on the ink. And I used Cocoa Bean for the feet, eyes, and beak.
