Sept. 2014 Fall garden: This bed had beans & kale in it but both got diseased and ripped out. Planted mesclun transplants to left, leaf lettuce, kale, arugula, spinach, radishes, beets and peas to right. Potato bins in back.
Sept. 2014 Fall Garden: Right bed. Lima bean tower on right--planted 6 plants--too many! It's taking over and I still don't have many beans. 4 tomato plants--too close together and too many tomatoes. Selling at market and giving away. Cilantro & Parsely on left side of tomatoes. Tomatoes are too close together and should be in different bed from Limas.
Veggie Garden 2014--Our First!!! The seed company shipped our seeds late so we were late starting tomato seedlings indoors. We bought an organic plant at WF "Boxcar Willie" the big one in the front. The other 3 are a mixture of Brandywine slicers and Sweetie cherry tomatoes from seedlings we grew. I have more seedlings so I may plant them in pots. Also, basil, cilantro and parsley all from seedlings we grew. There's a row of green onions (perennial) direct sew b/t the tomato rows. 6/14
Veggie Garden 2014--Our First!!! Left side of left bed. Began w/ direct sew org spinach that produced like wild! Planted too much! Ripped out once tall and planted org pea seedlings we grew.
