Located in the Many Glacier Area of Glacier National Park, Cracker Lake is a classic glacial lake, where the surrounding glaciers are grinding rock into a fine powder. This powder, known as "glacial flour", is suspended in the water, which creates the amazing turquoise color due to refraction as the sunlight shines on these tiny suspended rock particles.
