John Goolman DAVIDSON b. abt. 1729 in Ulster Ireland, migrated to US through Pennsylvania, bought land in Rockingham County, Virginia, sold it and moved on to Tazewell County, Virginia. He had about 8 children and his family were one of the founding families of the Tazewell County area and later Bluefield Va/Wv . John Goolman Davidson, who was killed by the Indians in l795.
