Canvas and leather flat top football helmet c.1900-10. Early canvas helmet retains its original canvas chin strap (partially detached) with the leather trim and top including air holes. The cotton lining is fully intact and the leather top is still soft and supple with a 3" dry area on one side of the leather top rim with a bit a chaffing. $750

Exceptional high grade Reach open air football helmet c.1915-1920. Eight spoke configuration leather helmet remains in nearly "like new" condition with little to no evident usage wear. Octagonal center portion, straps, wrap around handband, and flaps display their original light brown coloration with just a touch of minute wear. Front center strap has period "Reach" manufacturer's stamp which has faded slightly. $1600

1910's Quilted Leather Football Shoulder Pads. Made by the Thomas E. Wilson Sporting Goods Company, these are a very early and uncommon style of shoulder pads. The body of the pads are made of canvas with protective leather on the top which has been quilted through to the bottom, or inside, wool padding. $500

Circa 1900 Spalding Black Leather Football Helmet. The "Model J" helmet exhibits heavy cotton padding, original chin strap, and minimal use. There is a tear in one of the leather chin strap holders, otherwise the helmet displays only very light wear and is in Excellent condition overall.  Sold: $1,648
