Found nearly everywhere on our planet, the daisy is a flower that represents innocence and pureness. They are unique and fun to capture behind a lens because they come in a variety of colors and sizes.
I was attracted to all the beautiful details on the the flower petals! I have been paying really close attention to the detail on a lot of Hummingbird's feathers. If you look really closely at the feathers you will discover that they have small lines across and it appears as a repeated pattern.
This seasonal collection of buttonholes include cornflower, marguerite daisy, aquilegia, lisianthus and astrantia as the main flower. I used a gorgeous selection of foliage to support and frame the flower including lavender, rosemary, honeysuckle, forget-me-not, and achemilla mollis. It is a great idea to use other herbs such as mint and sage as they offer a fragrance to the buttonhole, that you may not get from using just flowers.
My hubby got me the Tattered Lace magazine subscription (yes I did ask for it ,he's not that good! ), with it comes lots of gorgeous free dies and I have used them to make this card .
